Tryout Schedule (Sarnia Lacrosse)

My name is Ryan Dark, I am coaching the U7 rep team. I have 8 years of coaching experience in Sarnia. I am looking forward to the 2025 summer season as it is my first endeavour into coaching players at the beginning of their experience in lacrosse.
It is my hope that the players have a similar experience to what I did growing up in the Sarnia organization. I hope to pass along my passion for the game and introduce this great game to the players. Hopefully they all stick around for years to come and develop lifelong friendships with their teammates.

Lacrosse is my happy place. Coaching allows me to share my love for the game.This picture is from my first season in 1987 at Wallaceburg. We won Peewee D provincials that year. I was 8 and we didn't have any teams in the lower age divisions, so I learned to take a lump. I didn't touch the ball much that season but I was hooked.

I started playing lacrosse when I was 10 and played until I was 19. Won 3 Ontario Provincial Championships but also went 0-22 with the Junior A Pacers.Coached U15 from 2010-2015. Coached U7 2023-2024. No Provincial Championship as a coach yet.I look forward to coaching these young athletes and helping them become better lacrosse players while having fun.

My name is Jesse Thompson. I started playing lacrosse when I was 8 and have played ever since.I played minor lacrosse, junior lacrosse as well as senior lacrosse all here in Sarnia.I began coaching as an assistant coach for the Jr. B team and have most recently been coaching in the minor system for 3 seasons now. This year I will be coaching the U11 Novice 1 team. I coach because I love the sport and enjoy passing along all of the things that I was taught as a young player. Watching the kids develop as players and successfully compete against the best players in the province is very rewarding. I’m excited to see what this season brings. Let’s go Pacers!
