Pacers on the Road in Windsor to Play Double Headers
The Sarnia Pacers traveled to Windsor on Saturday June 9th to play 8 games. Tyke 1, Novice 1, Peewee 1 and Midget 1 competed in double headers throughout the day and came away with a combined 5-3 Record.
Playing in the earliest games of the day the Sarnia Pacers Tyke and Novice 1 teams opened the day with impressive 11-1 and 10-3 wins respectively. Later in the afternoon the Pacers Tyke 1 team won a defensive battle 4-0 while the the Novice 1 team won a closer game 8-4.
The first loss of the day would see the Windsor Warlock Peewee team down the Pacers Peewee 1 team 8-4. Not to be defeated again that day the Peewee Pacers responded with a hard fought 12-4 win in the afternoon affair.
The Sarnia Pacers Midget Boys team were in Windsor for a double header against the 4th ranked Warlocks on the weekend. While they were unable to come away with a win, the team had a solid defensive effort and were able to find the back of the net in both low scoring affairs. Jack Hutchinson scored the lone Pacers goal in 5-1 loss in the first game and Ryan Lumley and Eric McDonald scored in a 7-2 loss in the second.
The Midget team showed a great effort against a top 'A' club leading into next weekends tournament in Owen Sound.
