The Sarnia Pacers Pewee 2 recently traveled to Six Nations this past weekend to participate in the Six Nations Confederacy Challenge. The Pacers started the weekend tournament facing a strong Six Nations 2 team and were unable to complete the comeback, after giving up four quick goals. The Pacers fought back hard, but Six Nations pulled out the win 6-3. Goals came from Reeve Scott, Jake Geary, and Darius Sinopole. Helpers came from Sam, Dezort, Brody Najim, Mason Brown and Hunter Oblak.

The Pacers woke up Saturday ready to play. They started the day with an impressive 8-2 win over Napean 2, which evened up their record. The Pacers were hard on loose balls all game and were determined throughout the game to play good "Pacers" lacrosse. Dezort led the way with 3 goals and an assist. Najim had 2 goals and an assist, while Scott added 3 assists in the win.  The team moved the ball well and played good team defense in front of Cayle Jolicoeur. Cayle was a brick wall, standing on his head the whole game.

The second game saturday, saw the Pacers face a strong Milton Maverick team. The Mav's played hard from start to finish, and showed the Pacers they wanted it more, with an 11-3 win. Najim scored 2 goals and had an assist, while Dezort netted1.

The Pacers completed the weekend with a 2-2 record after a strong 8-6 finish against a very competitive Pelham Raiders team. The Pacers played a good team game, moving the ball well, and played good defensively also. Najim had a strong 4 point game including a hatty, while Dezort netted 2 and Sinopole, Brogen Smith and Brown added a goal apiece.

Special thanks to Casmeron Jolicoeur from the Novice 2 for making the trip down and helping our team this weekend.

The coaching staff was very impressed with the Pacers effort and progress thus far into the season. The team gets back to work this week in preparation for the Jim Richardson Memorial Tournament June 8th in Arthur.
